All of my cries are in vain
Will this sadness ever end?
I have a family to defend
Why must I feel so much sorrow?
Will I live to see tommorrow?
It takes a strong heart to cry
But a stronger heart to say why
Will there ever be peace?
Will this violence ever cease?
Will this killing ever stop?
Memphis is topping the charts
But I have to believe that God will work it out
He'll knock this pain,sorrow,and violence out
My wounds may take a long time to heal
But for the time being,I have happiness for real
